Virgo season might not immediately scream ‘Sweet Transvestite’ … but it does make me think of Brad & Janet from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
They stepped into the ‘weird’ house, feeling afraid, and discovered a whole new set of rules… that felt more… pleasurable.
They shivered with antici……pation.
And this is where astrology helps us understand what’s happening now… Venus moves into Scorpio.
Venus represents PLEASURE, and she’s making three connections:

Pluto demands truth from everything it touches. Deeper desires have a role… they are supposed to challenge social rules and create change.

Pleasure can be repressed yet it can help liberate the shadow self here. Real authenticity looks and sounds a bit weirder. It doesn’t easily fit in. It stands out. And the things we are ashamed of are actually portals to our power.

Our bodies are WISE, but we were taught to distrust and disconnect from them.
Pleasure has a purpose, and we can move in ways that feel healing.
Instead of feeling embarrassment about our desires or judging our bodies, what if we listened to what we want and need?
Maybe we all need to step inside a metaphorical ‘weird house’, just like Brad & Janet, and leave fear and assumptions behind. Not necessarily to get your sussies on… unless you feel called to, of course!
The message from this film isn’t black and white… Dr. Frank-N-Furter wasn’t the ‘good guy’. He didn’t create something that wasn’t already there. He was an activator. And often what gets activated doesn’t feel safe, easy or comfortable.
But that’s the purpose of it… Truth… sometimes brutal, often inconvenient… noticing the parts that are waiting in the wings.
Everyone talks about authenticity, but far fewer people are actually demonstrating it.
You don’t have to be like everyone else.
Think Janet… transformed… bolder, a little less concerned with what everyone else thinks. By moving past what felt safe, she found confidence, her voice and her power.
If you’re willing to be perceived as ‘weird,’ you might be able to create a life that feels more like yours.
Don’t dream it. Be it.
And maybe…
Give yourself over to absolute pleasure.
